Walt Disney Buy's Star Wars Film Company ?

Walt Disney film company announce that they are going to buy lucasfilm company which is making star wars film series. Walt Disney spending more than 4 billion for this deal and some surprise about this deal.

 Disney Chief Executive Bob Iger does perhaps better than any other suit in the industry. He buys not things but storylines and characters and creative brain-trusts. Pixar in 2006. Marvel in 2009. (The latter deal looks especially brilliant in the wake of $1.5 billion in worldwide grosses for this summer’s “The Avengers.”) Now Lucasfilm, a deal including the pioneering special-effects house Industrial Light and Magic, rights to “Star Wars” and its many iterations, and all the other properties Lucas has created or owned over the years.

Sandy Halts America's Movie and TV Industry

New York officials says that movie permits for Monday and Tuesday cancels due to sandy Hurricane. Many TV productions also halted due to storm such as Gossip Girl,Persons of interests,Smash and many more.

The storm halted production on a few films as well, including Akiva Goldman's Winter's Tale and Darren Aronofsky's Noah.

The storm forced Focus Features to postpone the Manhattan premiere of Anna Karenina, which was set for Tuesday.

Green Day Cancels Rest Of His Tour

Green Day also add to the his name to cancels list due to storm. Green Day has cancels rest of his north American tour and postponed the dates to 2013.

“Obviously, the timing for this isn’t ideal, but Billie Joe’s well-being is our main concern,” bassist Mike Dirnt said in a statement.  “We are happy to say that Billie Joe is doing well, and we want to thank you all for the outpouring of support and well wishes that we have received, and we can’t wait to see you all again soon."
